The configuration sits opposite the Parents palace (父母宮) on the Health–Parents (疾厄–父母線), with the trine reading drawing in Siblings, Health, Property, Parents. Tai Yin transforms 化祿 under Ding (丁), 化權 under Wu (戊), 化科 under Gui (癸), 化忌 under Yi (乙).

At the textbook level, Tai Yin in the Health Palace reads as night luminary — inward life, emotional weather, private self bringing its register to physical body and constitution. Artists, writers, family-business inheritors, property managers, mental-health practitioners are common manifestations. Tai Yin’s characteristic risk — private struggle that doesn’t get visible attention under Yi (乙) 化忌 — surfaces specifically through physical body and constitution when supporting conditions are absent. Pairings with Tian Tong reinforce this picture; pairings with the Four Killings (擎羊, 陀羅, 火星, 鈴星) sharing or opposing the palace can flip it.
