New BTO flats from 2024 onward and new condominium launches from 2024 onward are Period 9 anchored — these are the most chart-fit-favourable for households whose careers / goals align with the fire-element registers (technology, media, visibility-driven industries). Why generic Period 9 guidance fails

The period anchor is one layer of the feng shui reading, not the whole reading. The household's actual experience also depends on the building's 阳宅三要 configuration (door, master bedroom, stove octants — see FS-8: Singapore HDB & Condo for the door×master matrix), the occupants' personal BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu charts, and the year-on-year flying-star transits. Generic per-period guidance can name the natal anchor and the most-watched register; it cannot tell you which patterns activate for your household. Practical priorities for Period 9 buildings

  • Identify your home’s period from the construction year (or the major-renovation year that may have reset it). For most current Singapore housing stock this is Period 7 (1984–2003), Period 8 (2004–2023), or Period 9 (2024–present).
  • For Period 9 buildings, the most-watched register is fame, beauty, technology, light, middle-daughter register, vision, spiritual / aesthetic visibility. Whether this register actually activates for your household depends on the chart-aware audit layers.

A home built in 2029 would be anchored to Period 9 in its natal period chart. The natal anchor stays with the building permanently unless a major renovation resets it (which is structural and chart-specific). The natal Period 9 reading is then overlaid with the current Period 9 transit pattern to produce the year-by-year flying-star register.

Does my home’s period change when we enter a new period?

The natal period anchor does not change automatically when the cycle moves to a new period — it stays with the building based on its construction (or major-renovation) year. What changes is the current period overlay: from 2024 onward, all buildings are read against the Period 9 transit pattern regardless of their natal anchor. So a Period 9 home is now read as “Period 9 natal × Period 9 current”. Major renovations can sometimes reset the natal anchor — whether yours qualifies is one of the questions a residential audit answers.
