Modern relevance: reading Period 4 buildings today

Pre-war and immediate-post-war Singapore housing stock anchors here. For occupants of conservation shophouses, restored colonial bungalows, and heritage stock from this era, the period-4 register is generally favourable for households whose primary goals involve creative work, education, or building meaningful relationships. The current-period overlay (Period 9) modifies the reading.

The natal Period 4 anchor stays with the building permanently. Why generic Period 4 guidance fails

The period anchor is one layer of the feng shui reading, not the whole reading. The household's actual experience also depends on the building's 阳宅三要 configuration (door, master bedroom, stove octants — see FS-8: Singapore HDB & Condo for the door×master matrix), the occupants' personal BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu charts, and the year-on-year flying-star transits. Generic per-period guidance can name the natal anchor and the most-watched register; it cannot tell you which patterns activate for your household. • Identify your home’s period from the construction year (or the major-renovation year that may have reset it). For most current Singapore housing stock this is Period 7 (1984–2003), Period 8 (2004–2023), or Period 9 (2024–present).
• For Period 4 buildings, the most-watched register is romance, scholarly success, literary register, creative output, eldest-daughter register. Whether this register actually activates for your household depends on the chart-aware audit layers.
