The register includes romantic/cosmetic visibility paired with rupture patterns: relationships that look successful then collapse, appearance-focused industries, surgical interventions, and the kind of 'beautiful then broken' arc the classical text flags. Modern relevance: reading Period 7 buildings today

Late-1980s and 1990s Singapore housing stock anchors here — much of the templated mass-market HDB and condo development that FS-8 (Singapore HDB & Condo) covers was built in this period. For owners of Period 7 properties, the romantic-rupture register and the visibility/cosmetic register are the most-watched aspects, particularly when the templated 阳宅三要 configuration interacts with the period anchor. Why generic Period 7 guidance fails

The period anchor is one layer of the feng shui reading, not the whole reading. • Identify your home’s period from the construction year (or the major-renovation year that may have reset it). For most current Singapore housing stock this is Period 7 (1984–2003), Period 8 (2004–2023), or Period 9 (2024–present).
