The eighth solar month (酉月, Rooster Month) places the 7 Red Metal in the centre — the security and relational-sharpness star at the home’s qi reservoir. A month for security awareness, careful contract review, and keeping sensitive conversations out of central rooms.
About the Rooster Month (酉月) in 2027
The Rooster Month (酉月, Bailu 8 Sep 2027 to Hanlu 8 Oct 2027) places the 7 Red Metal Star in the centre — in the current period a negative register associated with security risk, relational sharpness and loss. For the month the household-wide signature is more guarded than usual.
Practical priorities: refresh physical security on entries if that has been deferred; move sensitive household conversations out of central living rooms; pair major contract signings with personalised date selection, since the 7 Red’s sharpness tends to show up as contract trouble in centre-located decision-making.
The Rooster’s branch (酉) is the centre of the West’s three branches (申酉戌, the Metal directional group), where the year’s San Sha sits. Rooster-born occupants face their personal birth month in a year when the San Sha sits on their branch’s direction, and the combination of personal-month register with San Sha pressure makes this a month for pairing major Rooster decisions with personalised consultation.

The Rooster Month begins at Bailu (8 Sep 2027) — the solar term that opens the month in the Chinese solar calendar. Each feng shui month runs from one solar term to the next, with the chart shifting at the boundary.
What does Star 7 in the centre mean for this month?
The monthly central star sits in the home’s qi reservoir for the duration of the month, layering its register over the year-level chart. Star 7 concentrates that register household-wide, making the month most active in activities and orientations aligned with the star’s classical attributes.
