His exaltation in Capricorn (28°) places his highest welcome in cardinal-earth territory where structural discipline contains his burning nature; his fall in Cancer (28°) places his lowest in the Moon’s embodied domestic territory where his sharpness has nowhere appropriate to land.

Mars’s dignity pattern is built around the assertive-cutting axis. He thrives where direct contest or strategic operation is welcomed (Aries open battlefield, Scorpio strategic underworld, Capricorn disciplined general) and struggles where embodied protection (Cancer fall), partnership (Libra detriment), or accumulation (Taurus detriment) govern the register. The placement is least suited to vocations requiring patient embodied cultivation, partnership-mediation, or slow accumulation of pleasure.
