I have spent over a decade dismantling the barrier between "ancient wisdom" and "modern logic." Since 2014, I have practiced Chinese metaphysics professionally, establishing a reputation for technical precision in systems as complex as BaZi, Zi Wei Dou Shu, and Qi Men Dun Jia.
My transition into Western astrology was driven by a desire to bring this same level of systemic rigour to the field. I do not view astrology as a collection of intuitive guesses, but as a coherent, mechanical language that requires a deep understanding of first principles to truly master.
My work is centered on providing students with the intellectual agency to look at any chart — regardless of the system — and extract clear, actionable, and logical insights without relying on the generalizations of the modern industry.

Before you decide.
None whatsoever. The course starts from absolute first principles — the history of the tradition, how a natal chart is constructed, and the logic behind every element of it. If the only thing you know is your sun sign, you are exactly the right starting point.
The opposite. Sun sign columns are what this course pushes back against. You will learn to read a full natal chart — all ten planets, twelve houses, the Ascendant, and how they interact as a whole. By the end, you will understand why generic horoscopes are largely meaningless, and what a proper chart reading actually involves.
Entirely online through the Sean Chan Academy platform. It consists of written lessons, fully self-paced — no deadlines, no live sessions to catch. Graded multiple-choice quizzes at the end of each module are in production and will be added to the course as they're completed (existing students get them at no extra cost). Lifetime access is included.
12 modules, 72 lessons, approximately 176,500 words of written content. A focused student could work through it in four to six weeks; someone studying casually might take three months. There is no deadline and no pressure — you have lifetime access.
No. A certificate in this field carries no professional or academic weight — genuine understanding does. The final project, in which you produce a full written reading of your own natal chart, is a far more honest measure of what you have actually learned.

This course teaches you the underlying logic so you can evaluate any interpretation you encounter, form your own views, and stop depending on other people to tell you what your chart means.
