The 2029 annual flying-star chart is the central technical reference for the year’s Xuan Kong feng shui. This page presents the chart visualisation, explains how each star is computed, and shows how to apply the chart against a specific home.
The 2029 feng shui year runs from Lichun (3 Feb 2029, 21:20 UTC+8) to Lichun (4 Feb 2030, 03:08 UTC+8). The year pillar is 己酉 Yin Earth Rooster. It is the sixth year of Period 9 (九運, 2024-2043).
The 2029 annual flying-star chart
The annual central star is 7 Red Metal (七赤金星). In Period 9 Star 7 is out of season, carrying robbery, conflict and betrayal (Po Jun 破軍), so the centre of the home is kept calm, tidy and secure this year rather than activated. The year’s strongest placement is West 9 Purple Fire, the reigning star of Period 9; the TaiSui sits in the West too, so use it without renovating or disturbing it. Northwest 8 White Earth carries the year’s wealth.

Compare with 2027
2027 placed Star 9 Purple Fire in the centre and 2028 Star 8 White Earth; in 2029 the centre passes to Star 7 Red Metal, the first of the three years with an unfavourable star at the heart of the home. The chart shifts annually at Lichun (3 Feb 2029, then 4 Feb 2030). For comparison readings, see the 2027 annual overview.
How the chart is computed
The annual central star is calculated from the year digits: 2+0+2+9 = 13 → 1+3 = 4; subtract from 11: 11 - 4 = 7. So the 2029 central palace star is 7. From there, the rest of the chart fills in by applying a delta to the base Lo Shu pattern.
