I never thought the day I’d write this would come, but I think the stars have aligned, and I feel compelled to write something. It’s time to rattle the cage, unleash the kraken. So, grab some beer, schedule your bloody GrabHitch like the cheapskate you are, and enjoy the read.
I shall start this blog post by being a little cheeky.
You know, every practitioner in my industry will boast about their clientele being CEOs, entrepreneurs, multi-millionaires, and whatnot. It’s not that I don’t believe them, but most of them are honestly lying. I mean, if your CEO is a one-man show in an SME, sure, I’ll give it to you. As far as I know, the CEOs who run listed MNCs are doing well enough not to need astrology to live effectively and make a shit load of money. Those who do make use of astrology, if I may say so, have a keen enough eye to not approach practitioners who peddle items on livestreams, look like child-molestors, climbing on tables, and post reels of them dancing in their boxers. I’m not even joking about these examples.
Having high-profile clients, I guess, gives a practitioner more legitimacy: if the top 1% or famous people trust us, we must be doing something right. That said, it’s not a big deal because we’re not billing based on someone’s net worth, and we still charge them the same if a high-profile person comes to us. If some billionaire wants to buy you a penthouse, then yes, that’s something to shout about.
I’ve said this a long, long time ago in one of my blog posts: The dream, or my dream at least, is to serve the elites and be put on retainer. I won’t have to agonise with Cat. 4 chart-holders, and life generally becomes easier. If I may reiterate, astrologers once served only kings and rulers, and the profession was held in high regard.
I’ve been very fortunate to have what I like to call “S-Tier” clients. They are your CEOs, business owners who have cashed out, and even celebrities. Yes, they’ve done well for themselves, and most are financially well off, but I can assure you that their lives aren’t perfect.
I call them “S-Tier” because they are, first and foremost, interesting. Secondly, they possess virtues that most lack and a ferocious tenacity in ensuring they achieve what they set out to do. Cat. 4s like to call them “lucky”, which is why they’re Cat. 4s because, to them, everything is about “luck”. “S-Tier”, to me, is just being an extremely functional and balanced human being. You don’t need to run a billion-dollar company to be “S-Tier”. To be “S-Tier”, you simply need to not waste your life away.
Since every practitioner out there loves saying they serve the C-suite, even though I know their chart-reading skills are absolute garbage, let me make it clear that I, too, am fortunate enough to serve founders and the C-suite. If the average person can find my website, let me assure you – the top brass can find me, too.
Now, there is a reason why I was motivated to write this blog post and it’s mostly because of divine timing.
The Emergence Of An S-Tier Client
An “S-Tier” client recently showed up, and I can assure you most people in the corporate world would have heard of him. This was what he shared with me:

I know I’m not supposed to have an ego as a Buddhist. But hey hey~! It does feel good knowing that your ex-big boss caught wind of who you are. Oh, for those who don’t know, yes, I used to work at Grab (not as a driver). If you ever took GrabFamily – I launched that. And if you ever got banned from the platform before, that was me too!
I have a stroke of inspiration and figured it is about time to write about two three things:
- Strategic business advisory using astrology
- Financial astrology
- Throwing shade at HR
Because the Grab founder is involved in this blog post, may I bring in an old case study that is relevant:
As you may or may not know, Masa Son, CEO of Softbank, was a major investor in Grab and was, arguably, pivotal to Grab’s success. Of course, having the backing of Masa-Son doesn’t always lead to happy endings, as we have seen in this case:
The above blog posts were written a long time ago, and I won’t go edit them to respect the spirit in which they were written at that time, because I want a contrast in the level of detail I can go into in a case study, and also see if I’ve improved as a practitioner. I actually forgot I wrote the two case studies above, so revisiting them with a fresh perspective is interesting, especially since this case study involves the same investor.
I will probably do a renewed case study on Adam Neumann at some point because the WeWork saga is simply too wild.
Let’s get to the crux of the post.
Grab Grabbed My Balls & I Grabbed Life By The Balls
When I first joined Grab, it was in its “driving Southeast Asia” forward era. I think they’re still going with it, based on what I can see on their website. Hand to heart (as the founder always says), I really enjoyed working there, and I believe in the mission as well. The rivalry with Uber back then fueled our morale, but life being life, Uber ended up owning 27.5% of Grab – but we’ll take that as a win.
I shall spare everyone the stories of my adventures while I was there. There are only two ‘achievements’ I will mention: 1) I got the person who hired me fired because he was the most obnoxious person I’ve ever met with an elite degree but zero EQ, and 2) I rage-quit without serving notice because HR severely messed up an issue, and I got denied my promotion. I have to thank one of my former higher-ranking colleagues, who let me know years later that my resignation was considered a regrettable departure, so there’s some vindication there.
Anyway, I got married the same month I quit, then Covid attempted to wipe out the human race, and I went full-time into astrology.
So yes, Grab grabbed me by the balls and wrung them a little, maybe with a bit of an obnoxious, teasing yank, and I returned the favour by grabbing life by the balls and ripping them right off.
By the way, thank you, HR, because if you didn’t make me realise how absolutely shit you are, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now full-time. Our HR lady reads Archie comics during her free time, by the way, and I even have a picture to prove it. HR my ‘lum pa’ and take note that I spelt it ‘lum’ instead of ‘lam’; you can interpret that however you wish.
Seriously, why is it that so many mediocre people end up in HR? I will be fair here and say that there are some exceptional people in this function, but most are just infuriating to deal with.
Alright, ALL JOKES ASIDE. I have a lot of respect for the company and the founder for what they’ve achieved. I got reminded of this during my epic trip in Chiang Mai, where Grab hurled my sorry ass all over the place and made sure I was fed. Speaking of which, if you want to read up about my experience with cognitively impaired Qimen Manifestors, that Chiang Mai blog post is something you’ll want to read.
Moving on.
Introducing The Divine Testosterone Of A Man Driving SEA Forward

I ruminated over how I should start this section the way I’m about to because I have nothing but respect for Anthony Tan (AT), but since I am no longer an employee there, who gives a rat’s ass? Time for sass.
Now, if “Gigachad Thunderc***” had a positive connotation, it would be our dear Anthony Tan here. Because holy moly, what a man. WHAT. A. MAN.
Look at those guns. He’s ready for a hostile takeover of a rival company any day. Uber probably wanted 57.2% of the company, but AT probably flexed its biceps in the deal room and then, done, 27.5%. Confirm plus chop stamp, ごめんなさい for being a CCB.
To the Cat. 4 useless s***f***s living off their wives, please take a look at this man. He’s the kind of man who makes you question whether you’re a man, even when you’re actually a man. That’s the kind of man he is – a man who makes you question whether you’re a man even when you’re actually a man, because if two men could give birth to a man, it’s this man right here.
Even the company name sounds manly. Grab – like it’s your divine, masculine right. F*** you, just grab. Talk later.
He could farm aura just by crossing his arms before you could go “Hallelujah Jesus! Look at those guns!” He is Chinese Anthony Robbins, but without the husky voice and shouting, because that would make town halls feel like a megachurch. Yes, he’s the kind of person you want waiting for you at the gates of Heaven when you die, shouting, “Welcome to eeeterrrrnnnnaaaaaaal lalalalalalife~!” and I bet he’d drive you through the gate in a GrabCab himself – with no surge pricing too because surge pricing is Satan’s invention and non of those tap-dance accelators uncles with Parkinsons like their tryna make a blue whale cum with their feet.
This. This is a man. A man who can grab you and probably snap you in half if he wanted to.
You. You are a s***f*** Cat. 4 living off your wife.
Hey, this is someone who came from one of the wealthiest families in Malaysia, but went on to achieve so much that he made his family feel like they were the most average people in Asia. Sure, you can say it’s privilege, but “privilege” isn’t a bad word, and this isn’t someone who wasted that privilege.
Anyway, just some trivia: there came a day when everyone was asking if our dear AT cut his eyelids for aesthetic reasons, but recent interviews suggest it has morphed back to his old Yin-Yang, one-eye-big, one-eye-small state, which I stan. Thank f***.
Damn, it feels good to be able to write such things and not worry about your rice bowl, right, Grabbers? Yes, you’re starting to understand why I’d be having coffee with HR every week if I hadn’t put on a much-needed repressed corporate persona back in those days.
Now, for the serious stuff.
If you had the chance to hear AT speak in person, I guarantee you would be charmed. I’m not someone who is easily impressed, so take it from me – he is really built differently. He has a deep, commanding voice. If a loudhailer ran out of batteries, someone would grab his head and make him shout out commands.
Whatever it is, you know he’s a leader. I’ve worked in many start-ups, and no one’s ability to rally people comes even close. I can’t speak for others, but I know I was proud to work for a CEO like him rather than someone like Travis Kalanick, Uber’s founder. I’m not trying to be coy about this at all. AT is someone who would make you want to follow him. I don’t know what he’s like at top-level meetings, of course, so I’ll let the charts tell me.

Now, thanks to his wife, who absolutely LOVES posting on Instagram and thanks to a LinkedIn post, getting his birthday wasn’t difficult. Reversing-engineering his birth time, like all profiles, will take some effort – but it should be an issue for me (I hope).
Assuming I got his birth date correct, the above birth time is the only one that makes sense, and I reverse-engineered it based on a few factors:
- This birth time produced the highest-quality Zi Wei Dou Shu chart for that day, which gave him a 廉贞 (庙) in 申宫。廉贞 is often called the “Diplomat,” and for good reason: people with a high-quality 廉贞 chart are extremely influential due to their natural charisma and charm. If my memory serves me well, our late founding father, Lee Kuan Yew, is also a 廉贞 in 申宫 chart-holder.
- The BaZi chart would pique any practitioner’s interest due to its unique structure. His hypothesised birth hour is the only Hour Pillar that makes sense, given the sheer amount of wealth he has amassed ($40 million GCB, hello?). It also coincided with the birth years of his five children.
His BaZi chart deserves a few more comments and thoughts: The first question is whether this is a Follower Chart (从格) or not, or rather, whether this is a 假从格 (Fake Follower). Then there is the question of whether a Fake Follower chart is even a thing, because traditional schools of BaZi thought argue that the Fake Follower structure is modern-day gibberish, made up to fill a lack of standards. I actually fall under the latter, as my approach to BaZi is more traditional, so I don’t believe in Fake Follower chart structures.
The two Yang Water 壬水s on his Year and Month Stem technically disqualify his chart as a Follower Chart, and if that is the case, his chart falls under a weak Daymaster 正格。Now, basic BaZi knowing tells us that if a Daymaster is weak, we strengthen it because if we don’t, it’s the Daymaster that starts to get burdened by the Wealth Elements, and it doesn’t actually mean amassing wealth.
What stood out as a real surprise was how much wealth he amassed during his 2020 to 2030 丙午 10-Year Phase, a very strong Fire phase that doesn’t strengthen his Daymaster. Or does it? If it hasn’t occurred to you yet, 2026 is a 丙午 year too, so what might it mean for him?
A lot of hobbyists who took some really dogshit courses from commercial practitioners would likely go, “OMG! 伏吟 because both the 10-Year Phase Pillar and Annual Pillar are 丙午。“ May I suggest you go bloody learn some Chinese first and try again?
His BaZi chart is definitely one of the most interesting ones I’ve seen. 丙午 doesn’t strengthen the Daymaster, yet so much wealth was created. I actually have an answer to this, but of course, I’m not going to publicise what separates me from amaeteurs. (I sound really cocky, I know.)
Anthony Tan’s Western Chart

I was looking forward to analysing his Western chart because it should be pretty interesting, and, true enough, I wasn’t disappointed. There’s a lot to say, so strap in.
I was initially deciding whether he had a Taurus or Gemini Ascendant because both fit his personality really well. AT is a great orator, and with his exalted Mercury in Aquarius, a Gemini Ascendant would be plausible. He is also hardworking, so Taurus Ascendant doesn’t sound too off as well. The funny thing is, it was his physique that helped narrow down his birth time because a Taurus physique would fit way more than a Gemini physique.
A Gemini Ascendant would technically make one appear slender, agile, and lack distinct curves. But a Taurus Ascendant, oh yes, a Taurus Ascendant would give us some thicc, and we all know AT is f***ing thicc. He turns around during a town hall and BOOM, there is his ass that puts the entire company to shame – both men and women, if I may add. On top of the thicc, a strong neck and jaw are also Taurus traits.
What I find most interesting about his chart is his Mercury Trine Saturn-conjunct-Pluto, especially when both Mercury and Saturn are in their signs of exaltation. His 2nd, 5th, 9th, and 10th Houses are all involved as a result of this Trine. Because his Sun is involved, it means his Moon in Leo is also involved, and the Moon rules his 3rd House, which governs peers and communication.
It’s not difficult to see why he’s such a great orator and communicator. Oh, Sun and Mercury are in Aquarius, and Uranus is in sextile to Mercury. Yes, his chart definitely has tech vibes.
The only thing I cannot wrap my head around at first is his Sun-Moon opposition. Although, then again, it shouldn’t be a surprise, because I think this aspect is the perfect description of what divides his public and private life. The Sun in Aquarius, conjunct Medium Coeili, is the visionary leader the public sees, and the Moon in the 4th House Leo is the man who just wants to be loved and appreciated by his family.
Damn. He just became even more lovable.
Now, it’s an open secret that AT has some beef with his father, and it is perceived as a very typical “I will prove you wrong” scenario between father and son. Fascinatingly, this dynamic is perfectly described by his Sun-opposition-Moon. Why? Because the 4th House Ruler is the Sun, and both the 4th House Ruler and the Sun itself represent the father. The Sun is in his 10th House, conjunct Medium Coeli, which tells me as much as his respect for his father, the opposition with his Moon, which is in the Sun’s ruling sign, means there will always be some emotional tension there. It is an interesting dynamic because his Sun Trines his Mars, Saturn, and Pluto, suggesting benefitting from the father (废话/stating the obvious), though not in an emotional sense due to the opposition to his Moon.
Then comes the question, where is the “F*** you, dad.” theme in the chart? The “f*** you” comes in the form of his Chiron.
Note that his Chiron, the Wounded Healer, is in the 1st House, Taurus, forming a T-square with the Sun-Moon opposition. To put it simply, the tension with his father is triggering his Chiron, and this is perhaps what drives him the most, especially when his Venus, ruling his 1st House where Chiron is, is in his 9th House of Capricorn – the House of ideals and philosophy, and the sign of hard work, patience, and discipline.
His Chiron in the 1st House Taurus reflects the wounds of existence and self-worth, and it involves his Sun and Moon, which govern his identity, drive, and emotions. Note that while his Mars, Saturn, and Pluto are in Trine to his Sun, they are squaring his Venus, which drives him.
There are quite a few square aspects in his chart. Squares represent tension, but these are also the reasons why he’s so action-driven, because tension needs release. I am starting to understand why he works so damn hard now and why he has so much to prove.
I think what fascinates me most about his chart is how a chart with a weakly placed Sun, in detriment for him, can achieve so much, because the Sun influences our drive and ambition. I’m guessing it’s due to his Sun being in Saturn’s ruling sign, Saturn being his strongest planet and exalted, and Saturn conjunct Pluto, the planet of transformation and rebirth.
AT started Grab in 2012 (then called GrabTaxi). Jeng jeng jeng~! You’ve guessed it. Saturn Return! And what a bloody epic Saturn Return that is.
Introduction To Financial Astrology Using $GRAB’s Birth Chart
Now, I know this is going to come across as hogwash to many people, but I need to let everyone know that any established astrology will tell you that even companies have their own birth charts. EVERYTHING has a birth chart. The Chinese saying is 「万物皆有象」。
Even a table has a BaZi chart, and from the table’s chart, we can know when it might get singed by a cigarette, or when it might grow mould. In other words, when I take a shit, there is a good chance that it has better BaZi than you.
Now, financial astrology is basically the study of a company’s health and performance, but we do it, well, using astrology. It’s not going to be a quantitative analysis of course – we can leave that to the CFA charterholders. Astrologers do it differently: we treat the company as a living entity, and as it comes into existence, it will go through its own ups and downs. We relate to it as we would to another human being.
Needless to say, there will be a bunch of astrologers who will use astrology, or financial astrology, to plan their investments. As ridiculous as it sounds to someone new to astrology, this is really a thing, and I have been toying around with it since the start of the year. Now, before anyone gets overly excited, please do not ever use astrology alone to make your investment decisions. That is absurd. It is a good tool to use, but do not rely on it solely.
Grab IPOed on 2nd December 2021, and it started pre-market trading at 4:00 AM EST. I know it is listed via a SPAC, but we will not use this old entity as Grab’s birth chart. We’ll use the date when it started trading as Grab, a new entity. Here is the birth chart:

I’m not going to go into too much detail here, as I don’t want people to try to decipher charts of listed companies, and also because there will eventually be a course for this where I’ll teach it properly.
For now, all I will say is that if I were to analyse this chart very, very objectively, as much as I like and respect AT, this doesn’t look like a very good natal chart – and we shouldn’t expect it to because I think anyone who has a background in finance will know that when the lock-in period is up, investors will cash out and dump the shares in the open market – which they did. The stock was listed at $10+ at first, but went as high as $2.95 at one point.
If my memory serves me well, a lot of my ex-colleagues were pissed because some of them paid taxes on the $10+ stock price but ended up with shares worth less than 1/4 of what they were issued for, so they lost money not only from the shares depreciating but also from the extra taxes paid. That’s just how the game works, unfortunately. Many good people from the early days left, and that’s normal for all companies and also expected.
Now, there has been a bit of a recovery of its stock price lately, and Grab is even profitable now – and you can thank Jupiter for that. We know Jupiter is in Cancer now, right? Guess which House is Cancer for the company? The 2nd House of Finances. As for the signs of the stock price doing absolutely shit in the first few years – that is written as clear as day in the chart as well.
Just like the periods of your life where your bank account grows and shrinks, a company’s financial resources, in the form of cash and access to capital markets, can also be assessed from the charts.

The day Grab went public had an interesting synastry with AT’s charts. You could say that’s the pinnacle of any start-up founder’s career: to list their company. That’s when the whole world knows who you are, and then that’s when the big bucks come in.
If you look closely at AT’s 10th House, Saturn, Jupiter, and Medium Coeli are all there and have made their relative conjunctions with his natal Sun, Mercury, and Medium Coeli. Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, is also conjunct his Ascendant, signifying a new change os his identity. He’s no longer a start-up founder, but the CEO of a listed company.
I just realised this, but Grab’s IPO date also helped narrow AT’s birth time, since what other House would fit the IPO theme better than the 10th House? Interestingly, the Sun and Mercury are also transiting his 8th House (Other people’s money), sextiling his natal Sun and Mercury in the 10th House.
The Next Catalyst Of Grab’s Growth
So, what’s the next big thing for Grab? If you’re in touch with the news in the tech world, you’ll know that there are rumours of Grab and GoTo’s merger.
Of course, this news involves GoTo’s CEO, who recently stepped down, even though earlier reports said he would continue as CEO until 2029.

Let me unabashedly say that I am well-connected enough to get his birthday and hear stories that not even the media will know. The stories I’ve heard about the GoTo CEO are worth another case study on their own, but I’m not going to waste my time. Given the recent events, it seems he is starting to trend downward, and his BaZi chart confirms this.
For those unaware, his fund invested in eFishery along with other big names like Temasek, Softbank, etc. eFishery is an Indonesian aquaculture unicorn. Its founders inflated its revenue and profitability by hundreds of millions of dollars through deceptive accounting practices, such as round-tripping funds and maintaining dual financial records, to mislead investors about its true financial health. The founders who have been arrested are still detained.
First, it was the eFishery hiccup, then it was the stepping down as GoTo’s CEO. Doesn’t bode well. Karma? Perhaps. I’ve heard that he’s ferocious in the financial world and his achievements are remarkable, but I’m sure he’s made enemies along the way. Or rather, I know he’s made enemies along the way.
This post will not be about him, and I really can’t be bothered with yet another person who blindly chases money and power.
Now, his departure from GoTo has fueled talks that Grab and GoTo really might merge, and this is where things get interesting.
Analysing $GOTO Using Financial Astrology

I actually spoke about the Grab and GoTo merger earlier this year with some really interesting people who I will not name. What immediately caught my attention was that GoTo’s birth chart was a Gemini Ascendant, and the most significant transit happening was Uranus ingressing Gemini.
Uranus first entered Gemini on 7th July’25, then began retrograding on 5th September’25 and returned to Taurus on 7th November’25. It will only return to Gemini on 26th April 2026.
Why is Uranus ingressing the 1st House, Gemini, significant? Because the 1st House acts as the Company’s Identity and “Physical” Body. Uranus is the planet of sudden change, liberation, independence, and disruption – those are the themes. Having Uranus in the 1st House means you will start to see drastic changes that affect the company’s branding and perception, and GoTo’s CEO’s departure is definitely a sign of this.
The big question now is whether Uranus moving back into Gemini in April would signal the start of the merger beginning, but we cannot simply use Uranus’ transit to determine this because this involves Grab, another humungous entity. If you have been paying attention, you will realise Grab is also a Gemini Ascendant. This means that generational planets (Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune) ingressing into different signs should affect both companies with very similar themes.
Let’s not get sloppy and assume that Uranus moving in both companies’ 1st Houses signals a merger. Even if they do merge, which entity will remain? As of now, we know it’s most likely that Grab will retain its identity.

The above are both company’s synastry chart. Let me break down what I see and find most interesting:
- Grab’s Moon (2H Ruler) Trines GoTo’s Jupiter (H10 Ruler), whereas GoTo’s Moon (2H Ruler) Trines Grab’s Sun (3H Ruler) and Mercury (1H & 4H Ruler). The harmonious Moon synastry does suggest being open to a potential merge, albeit only for practical reasons.
- Both companies’ Moons have a loose square, and Grab’s Mars is also part of that square. If a merge does happen, as I said above, it’s for practical reasons because the Moons aren’t aligned.
- Both companies’ Mars also square off against each other. No wonder they are rivals. Mars rules their 6th and 11th House
- Grab’s Uranus squares GoTo’s Moon; and GoTo’s Uranus opposes Grab’s Moon. The Moon rules the 2nd House for both companies, and the 2nd House governs finances and resources.
- Because both companies are Gemini Ascendant, we need to pay close attention to Gemini’s ruler, Mercury. Grab’s Mercury is technically stronger as it is influenced by its Jupiter, which is in Mercury’s sign of exaltation. GoTo’s Mercury is in the 12th House, which is a weak and ‘hidden’ House. This likely explains why Grab might retain its identity if a merger really does go through, especially when it’s listed on Nasdaq, whereas GoTo isn’t.
With my limited knowledge of the financial world, it’s unlikely a new listed entity will be formed, so Grab’s birth chart will likely remain.
Let’s take a look at what happens when Uranus moves back into Gemini on 26th April 2026 next year.

Yes, I know, it’s starting to look complicated. But let me break my train of thought down:
- I am paying special attention to Jupiter and for good reason. First and foremost, Jupiter almost always has to do with anything expansion-related. You want to grow? You look at Jupiter.
- Jupiter has increased significance here because it rules both companies’ 7th and 10th Houses, which is significant because the 7th House rules partnerships, competitors, and how one deals with the outside world, whereas the 10th House governs one’s aspirations, authority, and leadership.
The tensions represented by the squares and oppositions found in the synastry chart of Grab and GoTo need to be mitigated, and what better planet to do that than Jupiter?
Now, Jupiter is currently retrograding at the time of writing this (Dec’25), and it will go direct again on 11th March 2026 in Cancer, which rules the Moon. Both companies’ Moons are involved, and the square is triggered, but Jupiter in Cancer means the trigger will have themes of harmony and kinship. GoTo’s natal Jupiter will also be Trined.
All technicals aside, because it’s hard to put everything down in words, what I am trying to say is that with Jupiter going direct again in Cancer and Uranus going direct again and ingressing Gemini, it releases a lot of the tensions in the synastry chart, and the relevant Houses that signify a new identity through partnerships start to come into the picture.
Of course, the exact date when this happens will be hard to pinpoint. We need to distinguish the day the deal is agreed on with a handshake during a secret meeting, the day it’s reported in the news, and the day the merger is finalised and a ‘new’ entity is formed.
The forecast below is a long shot, but I’ll put it down for fun and to test whether financial astrology is a thing.
The Significant Transits & Aspects

Here are the significant aspects:
- The first significant aspect would be when transit Uranus sextiles transit Jupiter in July 2026. As mentioned, Jupiter rules both companies’ 7th and 10th Houses, so this transit is significant.
- Uranus would be in both companies’ 1st House at this point, opposing Grab’s Sun, the luminary representing their core identity. The Sun rules its 3rd House, so expect the news to come out of nowhere.
- Uranus transiting Grab’s 1st House also conjuncts its North Node, which is arguably very significant, as it marks a radical rebrand and identity overhaul. The exact date of the conjunction is 26 May 2026, so it’s likely when the deal is agreed on between the stakeholders. Interestingly, this date is also when the Sun and Mercury are transiting Grab’s 1st House.

From GoTo’s perspective, you would expect to see aspects similar to Grab’s, but if they are the ones being acquired, we should see some subtle differences. Here’s what stands out:
- Let us assume that, if the merger happens, GoTo would cease to exist, or perhaps become only a fraction of what it was. There is a symbolic ‘death’ of the company, distinct from GoJek merging with Tokopedia to form GoTo, because GoTo still retains remnants of both companies.
- The two most significant transits to me from GoTo’s perspective would be 1) GoTo’s Mercury being squared by Pluto, 2) Transit Pluto opposing its Moon, and 3) transit Uranus finishing its Trine with natal Pluto.
GoTo’s natal Pluto lies in its 8th House of personal transformation, so seeing this aspect with Mercury, the 1st House Ruler, indicates a period when the company will undergo significant life changes. Furthermore, GoTo’s natal Mercury lies in its 12th House and forms a square with its natal Pluto, and its North Node is also in the 12th House. The 12th House governs endings, so it feels almost as though GoTo was meant to go through some metaphorical death the moment it got listed.
Truth be told, the listing date for GoTo, which determines the company’s birth chart, is quite horrid.
The Big Question: Should You Buy Grab’s Stock?
This is a question I will not attempt to answer in this blog post because of the potential complications and repercussions it might cause. I will give a few comments, though.
Let’s assume that GoTo is absorbed into Grab and Grab maintains its Nasdaq listing. Well, we’ll just have to pay attention to Grab’s birth chart. Here it is again:

Transits during the merger, if it happens, should give us some hints about the stock’s price action. All I’m going to say for now is that assuming the merger news hits while Jupiter and Venus are still in Cancer, perhaps finding an entry point now would make sense, and you can take profit and “sell the news”. As for the long run, I am not looking forward to transit Saturn opposing Grab’s natal Mars-conjunct-Moon.
I’m not a CFA chart-holder, and I don’t have an MBA, but this is my personal take. I highly doubt there will be any synergies from the merger, as the two companies are pretty similar. The merger is attractive to investors but concerning to regulators because it could create a monopoly. The savings from the merger will take a while to show up once the price war ends, and teams can be more efficient working on a single app. If I had to give it a timeline, we should only start to see the synergies really kick in once Saturn is done with Taurus and perhaps even Gemini, and that would be June 2030 and 2032, respectively.
Before I forget, if you’re ever interested in financial astrology, I’m working on a financial astrology course at my academy. You can fill in your details here, and you’ll be notified when it launches:
Can I ‘C-Section Date Selection’ A Company Then?
Well, technically, you can.
Financial astrology applies to both listed and private companies. A company’s incorporation date is its birth chart. It’s just that the information is much harder to obtain, and we aren’t able to review the financial statements.
I know it sounds absurd, but you’re free to believe whatever you want to.
The Power of Astrology In Business
Now, I’ve conducted countless case studies on businesspeople and their start-ups. Temasek, our sovereign wealth fund, has made several bad investments already – FTX, Terra, and eFishery, just to give a few examples.
I know this is going to make people with elite degrees roll their eyes, but for the sake of f***, I don’t need to spend weeks crunching numbers and aligning the margins of my f***ing PowerPoint deck to know whether an investment is good or not. Just give me the goddamn founder’s birthday.
AT’s kind of chart is definitely worth investing in, and it’s arguably one of Masa-son’s better deals. How well the company performs after listing is another story.
My point is this: Do not, for a second, doubt astrology’s use in the business world. I’ve had the privilege of serving quite a few founders who have built their business and exited, and are now pursuing other things. I don’t talk about them much because they are my top clients and friends.
Grab’s case study has been one I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I finally got the push I needed. I may very well be wrong in my analysis because I either got AT’s birthday or GoTo’s listing time wrong, or I misread the charts. But we’ll see.
Wrong then wrong lor~! I’m not afraid of making mistakes because that’s how I learn.

All these said, with all the experience I’ve gathered so far, I cannot help but say that the charts speak to me, and everything is starting to align. The first mistake I made was forgetting that Uranus was about to retrograde, which is why things stalled. As it goes direct again, unfinished business will be set in motion. GoTo’s CEO stepping down is a clear sign that things are about to move, and he was removed for a reason I already knew long ago. Analysing the new CEO’s chart would be interesting.
It’s just really fascinating to see him get ousted (I believe he was ousted, although the narrative isn’t like that).
As much as I’m out of the corporate world now, I still hear stories, have debates with clients turned friends, and observe from the side.
Let’s see what happens.
