Chinese date selection (擇日) for a wedding works on more than the almanac. A date that reads well in general can still be the wrong date for a particular couple, because the selection has to account for both people's charts, the animal signs being clashed on the day, and the hour the ceremony actually takes place.

The listings below are a first filter, not a final answer. They rule out days that are unsuitable for a wedding on general grounds, which is genuinely useful when you are working backwards from venue availability. Choosing between the days that survive that filter is where the couple's own charts come in, and that part cannot be done from a calendar alone.
