The 12 Palaces · 十二宮

Every Zi Wei Dou Shu chart positions the 14 Main Stars across 12 Palaces (宮位), with each palace governing one specific life domain — Self, Wealth, Career, Spouse, and so on. Palaces are read in pairs (each palace has a directly opposing palace 180° across the chart) and in the ‘three squared, four square’ (三方四正) configuration that combines the palace with its trine (三方) and its opposite (四正). This reference covers all 12 palaces with their domains, axis pairs, and characteristic Main Star readings.
