The 14 Main Stars · 十四主星
Zi Wei Dou Shu (紫微斗數, ‘Purple Star Astrology’) organises every chart around 14 Main Stars (主星) distributed across 12 palaces. The Main Stars divide into two systems: the seven anchored by Zi Wei (the polar star, Northern Dipper system) and the seven anchored by Tian Fu (the heavenly treasury, Southern Dipper system). Two further stars — Tai Yang and Tai Yin — sit on a separate Middle Heaven axis. This reference covers all 14 with their classical attributions, palace affinities, and Four Transformations behaviour.
