The 30 Nayin Elements · 三十納音
The Nayin (納音) is a classical poetic classification used alongside the standard Five Phases (五行) in BaZi practice. Where the Five Phases label any element with a single character — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water — the Nayin extends each into a vivid four-character image: Sea Gold (海中金), Furnace Fire (爐中火), Beam Wood (大林木), and so on. There are 30 Nayin total, each shared by a pair of jiazi pillars in the 60-cycle. This reference covers all 30 in classical order.
