Ian Fang: Case Study Of An Incarcerated Perverse ‘Jiao Bin’

May 21, 2025

I’m going to start by saying that I had no idea who this piece of work was until last week when I saw an interview while doomscrolling, and the comments section mentioned this fella. I Googled him, and went, “Oh, OK, ex-boyfriend of a popular female artiste”. Fast forward a week, and suddenly, he’s on the news and charged with sexual offences against a 15-year-old girl and sentenced to 40 months in jail.

I don’t watch Mediacorp stuff, and I have no interest in celebrity news unless it’s Lisa Manobal. What I am interested in, though, is a good case study, dissecting someone’s chart, and figuring out what makes someone the way they are. Never thought I had to do it for a ‘jiao bin’ though, but we shall do a ‘jiao’ for the ‘bin’ today.

Recapping What This Piece Of ‘Jiao Bin’ Garbage Did

This piece of garbage with a cock for a face violated a minor on nine occasions and had unprotected sex with her five times, including in a hotel and in a private hospital when the victim was quarantined due to Covid-19 and when she was down with the flu. Yes, you heard that right. Mr Brains-In-His-Cock here committed the heinous acts even when the victim was hospitalised. It’s a truly unprecedented case of someone behaving like a low-life beast.

I balked at the fact that I have to put someone’s ‘jiao bin’ (cock for a face) on my website because I don’t find him particularly good looking. It’s funny because I’m not the only one who thinks he has a ‘jiao bin’. Something about his aura is profoundly smug and annoying, as though he’s God’s gift to women and Singapore. He reminds me of that acquaintance in university who needs to be the centre of attention and is looked up to for how cool and unique he is, when everyone knows he’s an insecure loser.

Does Ian Fang really look that annoying? Let’s see:

‘Jiao bin’ confirmed. If a Lan Jiao could grow a face, it’ll look like this ‘jiao bin’ right here – this is the textbook look, and it comes laden with STDs as well.

The loss of aura and vibe check is way off. Thank Heavens, he’s not that popular to the extent that I see his posters plastered around the island. I don’t know about you, but vibes are a real thing. Some people have punchable faces, and you can somehow tell what someone is like based on the overall packaging, facial features, and mannerisms. Face-reading is part of Chinese metaphysics, after all. This prick here is not the kind of person I’d like to have around because I probably have to spend my time stroking his massive, throbbing ego and hopefully not stroking (keyword “stroking”) something else because we now know he’s perverse and might just settle for anything – all these while playing the absent father he never had.

Now, let’s see what this cosmic piece of minor-violating garbage he’s made of. Let’s see how f***ed up his stars are.

Ian Fang’s BaZi chart

Before I get into the technicals, I’m just going to say that it’s one of those charts that can immediately make a practitioner go, “What in the f***?” Someone also pointed out that he was born on the same day as Taylor Swift, but boy, did things turn out differently for both of them.

He might be a Yin Fire 丁火 Daymaster born during winter, but that’s still a lot of Fire in the chart, with even a 巳午未三会火局 forming, which technically pushes his Daymaster towards the strong side, especially when the two Yang Fires (丙) and his 丁 Fire Daymaster are rooted. We should not assume that the Month Branch alone determines the strength of the Daymaster because if it did, this ‘Jiao Bin with STDs’ wouldn’t be jailed this year.

His Daymaster needs to weaken, and the effective element to do this would be Earth instead of Water, with the Yin Earth 己土 on his Year Stem as the most effective source of Earth to achieve this. Yin Earth 己 is the “Useful God” (用神) here, and it is extremely important to get a chart’s “Useful God” right. If not, the analysis will go way off. Now, Water can technically weaken his Daymaster, too, and it is technically the strongest element in his chart since he was born during winter, but his chart is not structured in a way that allows the use of water.

Now, in usual cases, for his “Useful God” to show up on the Year Stem and be connected to his Day Branch is an excellent thing because it’s almost as though blessings come from past good karma or the Heavens since the Year Stem is the start of the BaZi chart. However, the 巳午未三会火局 does change things because Yin Earth 己土 can potentially be converted into a negative element, and you can interpret this 化凶 signs where something positive turns into something negative.

I don’t regard this as a good natal chart because the “Useful God” isn’t clear in the sense that there is a contradiction. It should have been Water because it is the strongest element, but Earth’s strong presence poses a dilemma. Do we use Water, or do we use Earth? If Water, which is his 官 ‘god’, starts to come under harm (which it is), you can be sure this isn’t a chart that will have a strong moral compass. The only source of Water in his chart shows up as 子, and 子午冲 and 子未害 both affect it.

His current 10-Year Phase might be 壬申, and one might think Water and Metal’s appearance can balance his chart since they oppose Fire. But can it, though? 巳申合 forms, and 壬 Water does nothing much but cause a very unnecessary clash with both Fire and Earth. Furthermore, 壬 Water is not an element found in his natal chart, so its appearance is a tad meaningful. 巳申合 does trigger 伤官见官, which explains why he got into legal trouble.

Note that 2025 is an 乙巳 year, and Yin Wood 乙 is the nemesis of his 用神 of Yin Earth 己土, and 巳午未三会火局 is simultaneously being triggered to clash with 子 Water. The only two sources in his chart helping to balance his chart are being harmed, so 2025 can be considered a calamitous year for him.

Using BaZi to analyse his character a bit: a strong Daymaster naturally indicates a stronger sense of self, sometimes leading to egotism if unchecked and if the chart lacks a balancing element. Charts with excessive Fire are also known to be too idealistic, flighty, and attention-seeking because Fire is an element that can be felt at a distance. It feels like a celebrity’s chart, but one that is trying too hard and incinerates others along the way, while also lacking a moral compass due to the 官 ‘god’ being clashed.

His penchant for trouble involving the opposite gender is due to the double Yang Fires (丙) showing up. His chart has a strong 桃花 theme to it, and the 子午冲 showing up in his natal chart, which involves the double Yang Fires is the reason why he keeps getting Peach Blossom issues.

He does not just have a ‘jiao bin’, but a ‘jiao’ brain as well. Let’s see if his Zi Wei Dou Shu chart paints the same picture.

Ian Fang’s Zi Wei Dou Shu Chart

At first blush, you wouldn’t think his Zi Wei Dou Shu chart belongs to that of a minor-violating ‘Jiao Bin’. The chart does have its merits, with 左辅右弼,天魁, and 化科 in the critical sectors. One would think these auspicious Zi Wei Dou Shu stars are enough to grant someone a life free from legal issues. Alas, sometimes, these auspicious stars aren’t enough, and it’s a misconception that they negate negative stars as though they aren’t there. The weak areas will still play out.

If you pay attention to his 官禄宫 (Career Sector, 4th column, 3rd box from the top), you will see 文曲化忌 with 巨门 both in a 陷 position. Within it is also 红鸾, which is a Peach Blossom star. 文曲 itself is also a Peach Blossom star. Now, his 命宫 (which is also his身宫) has ‘flying’ 化忌 clashing with his 官禄宫, where his 生年化忌 is, which is a huge taboo. His 官禄宫‘s 宫干化忌 goes back into his 命宫。 Here’s an illustration:

Just imagine a star called 化忌 flying in those directions, clashing, and returning to his 命宫, with the severe part being his 命宫‘s 宫干化忌 clashing with his 身年化忌。

Now, for the timing of events:

If you look back at the same sector, which is his natal 官禄宫, you will now see 巨门 with a green 化忌 there, which is also now his 大运疾宫, which forms the 父疾线, which is associated with legal issues. 巨门化忌 is what I deem a dogshit star in Zi Wei Dou Shu which almost guarantees trouble, legal issues, and a severely flawed character if it lands in one’s 命宫。To have it in his 大运父疾线 means trouble is definitely coming within this 10-Year Phase, which he entered into when he was 34 years old.

The above chart is adjusted for 2025, but we know that his legal trouble began in 2024 when trouble started brewing and investigations were ongoing.

You will now see that his 流年命宫 is being double-clashed by the green and red 化忌, and you will notice his 流年化禄 is in his 流年子女宫 and 大运夫妻宫 (4th row, 2nd sector from the left) and mind you here, 子女宫 is a Peach Blossom sector associated with pleasure and sex, whereas 夫妻宫 is your romantic partner. There is also a 同类冲 appearing whereby his 流年父母宫 clashes with his 大运父母宫。

Because of the signs above, reverse engineering his birth time wasn’t difficult, although there are still chances of confirmation bias.

Ian Fang’s Western Astrological Chart

Let’s turn to Western astrology now to give it one additional layer of certainty:

Let’s just mouth off what I see:

  • 1st House Ruler is Jupiter, which lands in the 5th House associated with personal expression and pleasure (no surprise here).
  • The Sun is in his 10th House (Career, Reputation) of Sagittarius, loosely conjunct with Medium Coeli. The 10th House Ruler also happens to be Jupiter, so his 10th House Ruler is in his 5th, meaning the planet/star governing his career is in the House associated with expression and pleasure.

Based on these factors alone, the signs of being a celebrity are strong.

I immediately started to look for signs of perversion in his chart that explain his behaviour, and these are what stood out:

  • Jupiter conjuncts his Moon and Chiron. The Moon governs our emotions, and Chiron represents our wounds. This part of his chart indicates he has a deep wound surrounding emotional warmth and security. I recall someone telling me he came from a broken family and is somewhat close to his mother, which both the Moon and Jupiter represent.
  • Unfortunately, these conjunctions are in his 5th House of pleasure, and we can view it this way: He makes up for this void through personal expression and pleasure. It doesn’t sound like anything is wrong with this, but I think the issue arises due to all the planets in his 11th House, which oppose Jupiter and Chiron.
  • If you look at his 11th House, his Uranus, Mercury, Neptune, and Saturn are there. The opposition is loose, although we can still say it’s an opposition by Houses and Signs. The most worrying of oppositions is, of course, the one from Saturn because an opposition with Jupiter means it also opposes Moon and Chiron by virtue of their conjunction with Jupiter. Just see it as shared suffering.
  • In my view, his blatant disregard for the law and human decency is due to his loose Mars conjunct Pluto, which squares both his North and South nodes.
  • His Sun is in his 10th House of Sagittarius, which means Jupiter is its dispositor, and we already know Jupiter is in a complicated position where it conjuncts Moon + Chiron, and is opposed by Saturn. To put it simply, Jupiter will influence how he expresses his Sun, which is not a good thing since Jupiter is afflicted. This part of his chart shows how he overcompensates for his insecurities and wounds and why he eventually developed a ‘Jiao Bin’.
  • His Mercury and Venus would have also contributed to the events. These are personal planets, and their transits are the periods that drove him to do what he did. I’ll won’t go too much into the technicalities other than to say that his Venus in his 12th House of Aquarius, ruled by Saturn, doesn’t look great because Saturn is involved here.

To put everything into a very layman’s way: See it as a gaping wound that cannot be healed because what normal, functioning woman would want to be with an insecure ‘jiao bin’ of a man who cannot grow up? Unfortunately, his way of coping is to take advantage of someone vulnerable. Typical loser and ‘jiao bin’ behaviour. This interview with him shows exactly why I said he is incapable of being healed.

Insults aside, it is a pitiful chart that will always struggle for emotional warmth and security.

Now, I attribute his fateful jailing to his North Node in his 12th House. We do not conclude that the North Node in the 12th House definitely means jail – it still needs the right trigger and correct placements for it to manifest as getting into trouble with the law and being incarcerated.

Let’s take a look at his transits:

The above transit chart is set to June 2024, which is the period when the offence occurred. I’ve noted the following:

  • Transit Saturn was squaring his natal Sun.
  • Transit Mars was squaring his natal Venus.
  • The transit chart itself shows Saturn squaring transit Sun + Venus, whereas transit Mars was squaring Pluto while conjunct transit Chiron.
  • If you look at his 4th House during the transit, you’ll also notice Jupiter, Mercury, Moon, Sun, and Venus clumped up there.

To put things simply, it does look like a period where he’ll do something foolish because the main flaws of his chart are all triggered. It is also no coincidence that June is a summer season represented by Fire, and we already know how his BaZi chart is structured.

The above chart is set to June 16th of 2025, and till then, he will be experiencing these transits:

  • Interpreting jail time almost always involves Saturn and Mars, which are the malefics. Although his natal Saturn is domiciled, it doesn’t help that it opposes Jupiter, so a nasty Saturn transit can set things off. His Mars is also domiciled in the 9th House, which is associated with legal issues, and one might presume that having both malefics in domicile won’t manifest as trouble with the law. Alas, that’s not the case, and there ought to be a reason why this is so.
  • If you have been following my Instagram page closely, you would have kept hearing me say Saturn will square Jupiter, and it’s already happening now. What this means is that Saturn, the planet of justice and karma, which also happens to rule his 12th House associated with jail, is squaring his 1st House Ruler, Jupiter. The House represent his “self” and jail are both involved.
  • Jupiter also rules the 10th House which is associated with authority figures and one’s reputation.
  • While all these are happening, transit Mars is also squaring his natal Mars. Mars rules his 9th House, associated with legal issues. Now this is fascinating because as Mars is squaring his natal Mars, it is also opposing his North Node in the 12th House.

The above traits and transits are the jail-time transits I’m seeing. Interestingly, it’s also the period of his Jupiter Return since Jupiter will be moving into Cancer again, and the Jupiter-Moon-Chiron conjunct will be triggered.

If I were to paint a picture of what he’s going through psychologically, this is both a period where he faces the consequences and the wounds he needs to deal with. Whether he can change remains to be seen because these aren’t the last of his harsh transits. His natal chart isn’t great, so a bad transit can trigger his issues, and he might end up doing something idiotic again.

Ian Fang Has The Same Birthday As Taylor Swift

I didn’t realise this until some followers pointed it out. But Mr STD-Penis here has the same birthday as Taylor Swift, and the charts do indeed have many similarities when it comes to where the planets are placed. The main difference is in the birth time, which determines where the North and South Nodes land since the Houses will all switch signs. The gender, of course, makes a huge difference as well.

I don’t think we should expect Taylor Swift to be anything like Ian Fang. That’s preposterous. For now, just know that the birth time makes a huge difference in one’s chart. I’ve said it long time ago, but the birth time can change a chart from royalty to that of a prostitute, and in this case, from a international superstar to a minor-violating, ‘jiao bin’ piece of shit.

Can Ian Fang Redeem Himself?

I’ll use BaZi to assess this, and I’m going to be very honest here – I don’t have a lot of faith that he will change. Of course, I don’t think he’s stupid enough to repeat the same mistake and get jailed again, but whether he comes out of this ordeal as a better person is questionable.

To assess this, we have to look at his 10-Year Phase. The next one is 辛未, and then 庚午。 You might think that the appearance of Metal might help, but its appearance will open it up to being harmed by the excessive Fire in his chart. Metal is the Wealth and Spouse Element, so expect those areas not to go well, and that his ‘Spouse Harming’ (克妻) ways continue. Put another way, finding someone who makes a good partner will be extremely difficult because the good ones will avoid him, and that should be obvious. 未 and 午 are only going to trigger his 巳午未三会火局, so it’s very hard to bring myself to say he’s going to be on an uptrend.

Western chart-wise: As I’ve said, Saturn and Mars will come back to form harsh aspects with his natal chart again at some point, which isn’t that strong to begin with. His Moon is in Gemini and is opposed by Saturn; Mercury rules Gemini, which is in Capricorn and conjunct with his natal Saturn, meaning Mercury also opposes the trio Jupiter, Moon, and Chiron. The bottom line is this: The Moon governs our emotions, and Mercury governs our mind and intellect, and if they are weak, I feel it’s going to be difficult for someone to find mental and emotional clarity, let alone resolve their deep-seated issues.

It will be interesting to see what kind of person he becomes in the future and whether he’s capable of feeling shame and repentance.

Given all that I’m seeing, I think he’s pretty much finished and his career as a celebrity in Singapore, if he was even considered one (not that I know of), is done. I hope he gets his Permanent Resident status revoked because, frankly, I don’t have faith that he will change. Not that he will continue assaulting minors, but I don’t see how this fella with a massive ego and chip on his shoulder is going to be able to love someone properly and, well, stay out of trouble, generally speaking.

Why Category 4 Chart-Holders Are The Way They Are

My recent blog posts have focused on case studies, but please always remember the point of astrology and what it’s supposed to do for you.

I encourage you to read my older blog posts tagged under “Must Reads” and consider how to use astrology to live effectively.

I’ve spoken about what makes a Category 4 chart-holder the way they are. Why are they so dysfunctional? The charts can explain why, and anyone who knows me well knows that I can’t stand dealing with them because they refuse to deal with their issues properly.

Again, Ian Fang’s chart is a classic example of what happens when issues and wounds are not resolved healthily.

So, do you see how someone’s chart can analyse someone psychologically now?

His chart is indeed pitiful, but sympathy is better left for his victim. I hope this ‘jiao bin’ of a guy will never show his ‘jiao bin’ on TV again because I don’t think anyone enjoys seeing it. I also hope this case study is a good reminder to all the men out there with mommy and daddy issues that if you wish to overcompensate by inflating that massive ego of yours or drowning it in sick, defiled pleasure, this is what happens.

If you think money and fame is what brings you love and emotional warmth, you have a very, very twisted and pathetic way of looking at the world.

Grow a spine. Have some dignity. Don’t be a ‘jiao lang’.
